  • Q: What the hell!! I downloaded a media file, but all I got was a bunch of .rxx files!
  • A: Don't be scared, the file you wanted is there. It's just packed into a 'rar' archive. Download rar for your operating-system, and once installed, click any of the .rxx files .in the torrent to unpack the file.
  • Q: Where do you get the episodes from?
  • A: The .rm files come from the guys at IRC. (server: irc.tveps.net - Channel: #southpark-episodes). They are a friendly bunch, so if you are geeky enough to know what IRC means, you are welcome to meet us there around release time to chat about the episode, and grab it the minute it is released. I am seldom far behind (5 minutes or so), but if every second you have to wait for the new episode is pure agony, go there, mmkay.
The .avi files, I get from "warez-r-us" when they are released. Later on we make our own torrents, which are then seeded by us, so you are guaranteed to be able to finish the download. The DVD rip's, be they in the .avi or .vob format, are either made by us, or someone else. The info file will clue you in.
  • Q: What program do you use to encode them?
  • A: Rm: I don't encode them myself, but the ones who do, uses RealProducer for Rm files.
avi: who even knows anymore. It's been so long :)
DVDr (vob, iso etc): Whatever works for you, DVD Decrypter works for me.
  • Q: My media player won't play the file. It says something about missing codec?
  • A: Over the years, a variety codecs (encoder/decoder) have come and gone, for audio, video or both. If the file you downloaded is encoded is some weird old deprecated codec, I suggest downloading a different file, rather that trying to find and install the right one. Still if you want to, or if you know your media file is new and should play on your system, you can use gspot to find out which codec your media file needs. If you use RealAlternative instead of RealPlayer for playing .rm files, be aware that it does not support the very oldest files. For those, you need RealPlayer. Todays .avi files are encoded with Xvid or DivX with mp3 or ac3 audio pretty much exclusively.
WARNING: If you file, when played, only displays a message saying you need to go somewhere to download the right codec, DON'T! It's a scam, ALWAYS! The file you downloaded is bogus, so drag'n'drop it in the trash and forget about it.
  • Q: The file I got from your torrent still won't play.
  • A: Not my fault. All our featured torrents have been thoroughly tested, so if there is a problem, it's at your end. For torrents made and hosted by others, I can make no guarantees, however if it has been on my site a while, I have downloaded it and found it working.
  • Q: Can I buy the episodes from you on CD?
  • A: No. Sorry but I'm not into that.
  • Q: Your site sux so bad I wanna duct-tape you to a bench!
  • A: AH, sticks & stones may brake my bones, but words will never harm me! YOU DOUCHE!
Seriously though, if you don't like it, just go to a different site. The web is literally full of them.
